Dale Smith-Kind
Dale has 19 years’ experience in the Electrical Industry. He progressed from JIB Apprentice to Senior Contracts Manager in just 8 years. In 2006 Dale established Amptron originally as a Design Consultant, but due to high demand in electrical contracting, Amptron became Amptron Electrical Services Ltd offering Design and Contracting Solutions. In 2007 Amptron started as a Contracting Firm with 3 other key members of staff. During his career, Dale studied for 8 years at evening classes whilst working days to obtain his HND qualification in Electrical Engineering. Since 2007 Dale’s role is generally in the office overseeing his team as well as doing Design and Contract Managing. Dale enjoys skiing, golf and spending time with his family.

Simon Huntbach
Simon is a qualified electrician with ONC in electrical engineering. He has over 32 years experience in electrical estimating for commercial and industrial projects.

He joined Amptron in 2012 as the senior electrical estimator after previously being chief estimator at Blackburn Starling and Balfour Kilpatrick.
​
Simon is a keen table tennis player and pastel portrait artist.
Electrical Estimator
Marc Crowson
Marc has 32 years experience in the industry and started his career in the electrical contracting industry as an apprentice electrician and worked his way into the office as a contracts manager.
​
He has over fifteen years’ experience contract managing for commercial and industrial projects for both mechanical and electrical projects.
​
Marc joined Amptron in 2015 after being a contracts manager at his previous company where he served for 15 years.
​
Outside of work Marc enjoys football and time with his family.
Contracts Manager
Lee Hollier
Lee started in the industry as an apprentice electrician with a well-known City and County Council sub-contractor before qualifying. During his time there he experienced a wide variety of commercial and industrial installations including a period of time maintaining the county’s 26 Fire Stations. Lee’s responsibility within Amptron is broad and covers mainly the Health, Safety and Quality standards as well as overseeing our busy Facilities Management Department. As the first contact for new business, Lee constructs the bespoke service packages for each of our clients over Electrical, Mechanical and Building Fabric levels ensuring that as a company we deliver to the highest possible level. Outside of work Lee is a family man who judges his year as two seasons, either cricket or snowboarding!
Operations Director
James Simpson
James first started in the building services industry 15 years ago as a CAD draughtsman. He had a keen interest in mechanical engineering and quickly progressed to a mechanical estimator and designer. He has an extensive skill set and many years’ experience in the Pre-Construction stages of estimating, design and procurement across various construction sectors. Outside of work James enjoys playing squash, family BBQ’s in the sun and spending time with his daughter.
Mechanical Designer & Estimator
Dan Nicholson
Dan has 20 years’ experience in the industry after completing A Levels in Business Studies, Computer Studies and Law before progressing into software development and hardware implementation. Having gained valuable experience from his colleagues and experiences over the years he progressed quickly to senior level and is adept at estimating, design, contract management, cost negotiation providing a rounded set of skills to fulfil all aspects of mechanical building services contracting.
Outside of work Dan enjoys the family life, socialising, skiing and golf.
